This is how we like to spend a Saturday in the city: Start your day at Monocle, flip through some magazines, enjoy a good read (we recommend WM Brown) and have a Matcha Latte. Then take the tram to the Archäologische Sammlung it opens at 11am, so if you’re early, pop into the new Kunsthaus, enjoy Chipperfield’s vision and works by Cy Twombly, Richard Serra and Alexander Calder. Also, the pain au chocolat at the Kunsthaus Bar is probably one of the best we’ve ever had). Enjoy lunch at the newly reopened restaurant Neumarkt by duo-infernale Nenad and Valentin. After lunch, see Zurich’s Stadtmodell at Haus zum Rech, stop by Limited Stock and Never Stop Reading. Then walk to En Soie, grab a coffee at their little take away café (or a Chai Latte at Dieter Meier’s Oro). Head over to Pelikamo and Miaki for some new outfits and then take the tram to Lagotto Feinkost to get some ready-to-eat meals (we recommend getting the Boeuf Bourguignon for a lazy Sunday at home). Visit J.B Labat to stock up your home bar and head over to Miro or Campo for more coffee. Finish the day with a drink or two at the famous Kronenhalle Bar.

Gstaad is hard to beat in terms of beauty. For a cultural get-away, book a night at the Palace Hotel and visit the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in Gunter Sachs’ former chalet, Tarmak 22, Casa Gstaad by Antonia Crespi or Le Grand Chalet Balthus. For lunch we recommend Olden (book a table in the front part of the restaurant) or Wasserngrat. For dinner 16 in Saanen or Le Cerf in Rougement if you prefer fondue or raclette. For a new Janker, visit Zwahlen-Hüni, if you prefer to stock up on your Ralph Lauren, then head over to Lorenz Bach. For some food souvenirs, stop by Pernet Comestibles

The best is yet to come. We strongly believe in self-improvement and what better way to work on yourself than taking a couple of days off? The new forest rooms at Hotel & Spa Blausee might just be the place to go. We recommend meditating with the Waking Up App, optimizing your health via Peter Attia, Andrew Hubermann or Rhonda Patrick and analyzing your sleep via Whoop, Oura or Ultra. In between, we like to swing our secret service sized kettlebells and catch up on our reading: Atomic Habits, Discipline is Destiny, Meditations or Man Search for Meaning.
